Sell a Rolex in Boston

Sell your Rolex in Boston, today

Submariner, Daytona, GMT-Master II, Datejust, Day-Date, Explorer. Send me the reference, a few photos and whether you have box and papers, and I will give you a real number the same day. Boston clients meet me in person. The wire lands before the watch leaves your hand.

Why sell to a dealer instead of a shop

A Boston jewelry store pays you what a jewelry store needs to make its margin. I pay what the piece is trading at between dealers this week, because that is where it is going next.

A real number, fast

You get a price the same day, based on what the reference is actually trading at this week. No "come in and we will see."

In person, in Boston

Back Bay, the Seaport, Wellesley, wherever suits you. We meet, I inspect the watch, the wire goes out while you watch, then the watch changes hands.

Box and papers matter, but not as much as you think

A full set adds real money on modern references. Watch only still sells. I will tell you honestly what each is worth before you decide.

Outright or consignment

Outright is fastest. Consignment gets you closer to full market value with a lower fee than the auction houses. I lay out both numbers, you pick.

How selling works

Three steps, usually inside a week.

1. Send the details

Reference number, a photo of the dial, caseback and clasp, and whether you have the box, warranty card and service records.

2. Get the number

I check the reference against this week's dealer market and send you an outright price and, if it makes sense, a consignment estimate.

3. Meet and get paid

In Boston we meet in person. I inspect the watch, send the wire, you see it land, done. Out of state, I send an insured label.

Serving Boston and beyond

I buy Rolex from collectors across Greater Boston and meet in person anywhere in the metro. Out of state, everything ships fully insured with a label I send.

FAQ

It depends on the reference, condition, year, and whether it is a full set. Steel sports models like the Submariner, Daytona and GMT-Master II hold the strongest value. Send me the reference and photos and I will give you a real number the same day, not a range.

No. A full set adds value on modern references, but a watch-only Rolex still sells. I will tell you what each version is worth so you can decide whether it is worth digging for the paperwork.

Wherever is convenient for you in Greater Boston, including at your bank if you want to confirm the wire on the spot. I also meet in New York and Miami every month.

Bank wire, sent while we are together, so you see it land before the watch leaves your hand. No checks, no apps, no waiting.

Consignment usually gets you a higher number because I sell the watch to an end buyer rather than pricing it as a dealer purchase. Outright is faster. I show you both numbers and you choose.
